Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position under the supervision of the Director HRL is responsible for all aspects of ticket office operations and usher staff. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Assists with supervising admissions/ticketing attendants wherever tickets are sold on property.
  • the setup of events in the ticketing system.
  • Assist and support box office staff in any of their job functions, as needed.
  • Ensure positive and creative team environment within the department.
  • Facilitate open communication with the supervisors and staff.
  • Facilitate proper inter-departmental communications and organization.
  • Ensure complete and satisfactory on-going staff training.
  • Responsible for financial settlement and accountability of all revenues collected from ticket sales and ancillary income with internal finance department.
  • Complete and distribute accurate daily ticket counts.
  • Organize department and financial information for participation in weekly marketing meetings.
  • Building shows on the TM Host platform.
  • Create, modify, and maintain inventory for all ticketed events on the TM Host platform.
  • Create and manage all presales, packages, and post-sales in contractual compliance with co-promoters and outside producers and venue partners.
  • Monitor inventory and ticket sales numbers and implement strategic flex ticket pricing as needed.
  • Maintain ticketing computer systems.
  • Organize nightly will call tickets.
  • Interact with artist, record label, management, and band tour accountant.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

High School Diploma required; college degree preferred. 5 years of experience in Box Office/Ticketing Management using the Ticketmaster Host platform. 3 years experience in a Supervisor/Manager position. Familiarity with Ticketmaster Pricemaster and Platinum/Dynamic/Flex Pricing. Previous experience using Ticketmaster TM1 platform preferred. Previous experience in a Casino atmosphere a plus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second-hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Follow all policies for company cell phone usage.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
  • Must be available to work 80 - 100 shows a year and office hours/meetings/conference calls, as needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with external contacts and all levels of team members.

  • Work with various computer applications and programs.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Compose, type, route, and file correspondence, etc.
  • Interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
  • To move throughout the business (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
  • To express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • To obtain impressions through the eyes.
  • To tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy/smokey environment.
